My future Job

Hello! Today I'm going to talk about my future job!

I study public administration so my future work is related to offices, having a lot of papers on the desk and dressing every day formally, but I don't see my future work that way. I imagine myself working in small localities, an office (of course) but having a lot of contact with people because I'm not interested in working in large state offices, what I want is to work in small areas, in municipalities, maybe outside Santiago where the work with people is much closer and where the different policies that are applied are more specific and help people in a more direct way. In addition, I would love to travel frequently in my work (who wouldn't?) because learning from other places is going to give you training that complements everything you already know so new experiences can make your job performance improve and you can bring new things to implement in your sector, I also think it's important to update our knowledge so we can deliver a better service to people.

My Favorite TV Show

Today I'm going to talk about my favorite tv show.

I have to said that I love series and movies so it's hard just one to tell you about jajaja but if I have to choose I must say that my favorite tv show is HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER,  it is a very good and interesting series, the series knows how to capture the attention of the viewer, which is very important being a series of drama and suspense. In its 5 seasons it knew how to maintain the drama and suspense, it didn't deviate and continued to maintain the intrigue. I enjoy this series because is a tv show so original and I like that kind of series, of suspense and so much drama.

The series is about a woman Analise Keating who is a lawyer and a university professor of law. Everytime this teacher starts a new course chooses the 5 best students (in this case Michaela, Laura, Connor, Asher and Wes) to help her in her case as a lawyer.

The series starts with a murder that happened in Annalise Keating's house so everything happens in the present with many flashbacks about what happened before the murder showing the life of the teacher, the 5 students who accompany her and Keating's friends and partners, Bonnie and Frank.

My favorite episode of the series is episose 9 of season 4. I'm not going to tell you anything about this episode because I don't want to make spoilers jaja but I can define this episode as the best of the series where everything goes wrong. Everyone is in trouble and you need to make a decission as soon as possible. Also, sometimes the death is the only solution.

My best friend

Hi!

Today i'm going to talk about BEST FRIENDS!

I have one best friend, her name is Javiera, she is 19 years old.

I met Javiera when I was 12 year old in the school, she was my partner since 7° grade, but later in the high school, specifically 1° year of secundary, she left the school. Javiera decided to change the school, she started to study in secundary in other school. However, when she changed the school, our friendship started.

Now, she is one of my best friends because she and her family always supported me, she is very very very very very good friend! 

Also, I think that this friendship is for entire life, because we have never fought(I mean, big fight) and I always see her, every week, she comes to my house, I go to her house or we meet in some place where we can talk about our week.

I don't have a specific memory to tell, there are always laughs, good conversations and a real friendships.

My expectations in this course

Hi Everyone!

Today i'm going to introduce myself and i'm going to tell you about my expectations for this English class.

My name is Bárbara Díaz Mena and I'm 19 years old. In this moment of my life I study Public Administration at the Universidad de Chile and this is my second year in the career.

About the English class, I started in these courses in the level 2 so my expectations are not so big because I know a little about the English class in the university. I hope that in these courses I can strengthen my skills. For example, I think that I must concentrate in my principal weakness, my vocabulary, because I think that it limits me in this process where I want to learn English, so I need to focus in learning more words or sentences in that language. Also, about my strenght, I think that one point that is easier to me is the pronunciation so I need to develope this skill because it's important for other people to be able to understand me clearly.

A country I would like to visit

Hi everyone!

I was thinking about the countries I would like to visit, there are many places that I want to visit because I want to visit the whole world but if I have to choose an option, I would select Japan because I think it is a very diverse place, technological, fun and where you can do many things. 

I don't know much about Japan, but I can say I know a little about its culture, so that's one of the reasons I want to visit that country. 

For example, you can visit historical places, a big city, famous restaurants or go to big shopping malls where you can buy a lot of things and where you also have a lot of things to do.

In the same way, I don't plan to study in Japan, I don't speak Japanese at all, so it would be a bit difficult to study, what I would like to do, is to live a limited time somewhere in Japan, to be able to connect with its culture, with its people and know a lot more about this beautiful country. I'm not sure if I want to work in that country, I think my plans are just to get to know the country.20

Favorite Subject in this semester

Hello people!

As I told you before, I study public administration. I'm in my second year of college and today I'm going to tell you a little about my favorite subject this semester. 

Now that I'm thinking about my favorite subject, I'm surprised to say that it's "Estadística para la Gestión I" and when I started this subject I was very scared because last semester I almost didn't pass the necessary subject for statistics courses.

 Now, my grades are not the best in this subject but I love it because it is very entertaining, I have to use a program for this subject, it's like Excel but easier hahaha. The program is "Stata" and I always need to use the computer to study, so I like it because is diferent, the exams is in computer so I don't get as nervous as in a pencil and paper test. 

I also believe that the teachers help the students and they know that we are not experts in this area, so they are always willing to help the student.

1. Any ministry website: On these pages you can find all the information about the ministry, such as programs, policies, functions, news, and so on. It is important to know about the ministry because in this race you have to know about the public and the ministries are part of that.

Scielo: this page is a scientific electronic library, here you can find articles, research, etc. on many topics, so if you have a research to do, useful information you find here.

3. CIPER: this page is similar to Scielo's, but it is journalistic and you can find the same thing: articles, researches, opinions, etc. 

4. CEP:  this page is about a private nonprofit academic foundation oriented a public interest. Is very usseful too, and this you can find information related with public administration because is about the public, this foundation have a magazine where publish articles, opinions, etc.

This website is very usseful and I always visit.

GENDER ROLES AND STEREOTYPES

Hey, guys! Today I'm going to talk to you about gender roles and stereotypes.

Right now, gender roles and stereotypes are so important in this society, I think feminism helps to change the definition of things like girls things and boys things. I like that because it's necessary for the future, for people's freedom. The road is slow, but sure, so I think in the future gender roles and stereotypes will end. We need a feminist (or non-sexist) education in school, in high school and in university, because that education helps to understand the diversities of people that exist in the world.

In my personal experience, gender roles were present in my life in high school because I studied in a Catholic girls' school, so teachers and officials always tell us how we should behave and I was, for example, like a delicate woman, so I don't believe in gender roles and stereotypes, they only limit people and make them act in one way when there are many ways.

Hi, today I'm going to tell you about the history of this photo:

In this photo you can see me and a man trying to answer a survey.

This picture was taken in April 2017, I was volunteering and one of the tasks we were given was to go to this church to have people answer a survey. 

Together with the other volunteers we gave a survey to the people and also gave them pencils, everyone was answering the survey quietly but this man looked very distressed because he didn't understand what I had to do, I came to help him and was a little complicated because he couldn't speak Spanish and I couldn't speak his language, I decided to speak English but I did not understand because my English is very bad I felt very frustrated because I really wanted to help him but the language turned out to be an impediment.

After that moment, I decided to use google translator and everything improved, he was already happy answering the survey and I was calmer because I was able to break down this small obstacle. 

I learned a lot in that little moment, I had never presented a difficulty of this type, of the language, so I thank the technology.

Hello everybody! 

This is my post 4 and i'm going to tell you about my favorite pastimes.

I don't have so many hobbies or pastimes, I guess that I'm a simple person.

My pastimes favorite is watch series and movies, I love it! I like the movies and series because I think that you can knowa new realities and learn trought the character also because are so funny and interested. I guess that this pastime start in summer 2017, everyday watched a movie even, sometimes I even forced myself to watch movies because I wanted to learn about that world. 

Also I like listen to music because the music is cool, beautiful and fascinated, I remember that when I was a teenager always but always listened to music, always had an earphone on even when I had to talk to other people or take an exam. Now, I love listen to music on my way home and to the university, is my company.

What's my Favourite Piece of Technology?

Hello again!

This time i'm going to tell you about my favorite piece of technology!

My favorite piece of technology is the computer. My first computer was given to me by my father  when I'm 10 years old but I don't used so much, so the computer broke down because  I didn't use it or take care of it. 

Later when I was in the high school, I needed the computer so much because in my school send me homework like investigations, report, rehearsal, etc. so I needed a computer in my life. In this oportunity my mom bought the computer for me and that computer is my current computer, she is still alive and I love it! 

Is my favorite piece of technology because I used for everything like watch series and movies, write my homework for the university, saving my personal pictures and videos (like memories), etc. Is very useful, so everyday use my computer,  I even bring it to the university.

The life without the computer would like very difficult in especially because I use it to study. In this time, technological objects are very necessary for make the life more simple and because all the planet use the technology specially for communicate.

Why choose my career

Hello again!

In this post i'm going to tell us why choose my actually career. 

When I was a child, I wanted to be teacher of other language especifically english also I wanted to journalist because I just wanted interview famous people but when I was a teenager, other things began to interest me, I was a clear that in my future I wanted a career to be linked to three things I like: History, Politics and helping people. That's how I got to my current career but I'm going to tell you that public administration was not my first choise, I wanted to study law.

Now, I'm going in my second years studing public administration and I'm so happy, I love my career, I feel that this is my way, my future and that the three things that mentioned is here, in this career.

Also I have big plans to the future, my ideal work is in the international relations and the public administration take me one steps close that work. 

The best decision I could make was to go into public administration.

My name is Bárbara but call me Babi. I'm 19 year old. In this moment of my life I study Public Administration in the Universidad de Chile.

I live in Quinta Normal, a place very nice. In this place I live with my mom, grandma, uncle and cousin. We are five in home and living that way is so funny because always one person have somthing to talk to the others.

I'm a person very simple, I like sleep (so much), watch memes in facebook and share pictures in instagram. About my hobbie, I adore read especially novels and i love sooooo  much watch movies and series especially the films about discovering enigmas my favorite movie is se7en also I like visit new place like museums or parks, sometimes I need time for myself and go to the something place like that helps me.
